Usually I frame my encaustic paintings but I've been asked to paint some on deep cradle boards which is what I've done in this series (3 of 12). These are small in size, 12"x6". All are painted in the pure encaustic process with layers of molten, pigmented beeswax, each layer fused to previous layers with a propane torch.-Janet Amundson-Splidsboel
