I was away from art for two weeks while on vacation; while away I spent considerable time visualizing what direction I want to go with my encaustic figurative paintings. When I returned home this week, with excitement I immediately painted this 24"x24" encaustic of a woman from my imagination. Her name is Nora. I believe the style shows increased looseness and abstraction of shapes, which is what I visualized while "painting in my mind" those two weeks; can you the viewer see any difference from my earlier paintings? -Janet Amundson-Splidsboel

Encaustic "Nora" Figurative 24"x24"
